Another chapter

It's been a BUSY two weeks! Preparing for my daughters graduation, making sure my out of town guests were comfortable, and trying to make sure I crossed everything off the multiple lists I made, so I wouldn't forget anything. As I was trying to keep myself together, my keys kept hiding from me, I kept misplacing my phone, and of course with all of my kids home there wasn't a charger to be found ANYWHERE.... The the graduating class from the School of Architecture at UT Austin was small, around 40 undergraduate students and about the same amount of masters & a few PHD's in Architecture. After the graduation ceremony the school invited the students with their family and friends to a reception, which was lovely!!!! All I can do is show you in pictures!!!

    Congratulations to your daughter!!! Your heart must be bursting with pride! You family is beautiful and your daughter is absolutely radiant. Her goodness, intelligence, humor and warmth shine through in her smile. I wish her the fuilfillment of all her dreams (and yours for her!) as she moves to her new chapter. Hugs to you Drita.

    Tell her not to get too anxious about it. She just graduated! It takes time. My daughter, who graduated last year, was completely moody until she found the job she wanted, which didn't happen till August. Sometimes it takes longer. My son worked part time gigs until he finally landed a good full time job (at one of the places where he was working part time) in December after he graduated. It will all work out.

      Thanks for your support! I told her about your kids, and to take her time to find a place she really wants to be. It's a bit scary for her right now. She is realizing she is no longer a student and will be totally on her own soon.

    Honestly, Drita, we underestimate how scary this transition period is for them. They're mourning the literal end of their childhood while secretly worried if they're up to the task of making their way as an adult. But your beautiful, talented girl will be fine. I know it.
